Because it’s a catamaran (a twin-hull boat), the New Star One is extremely stable and does not heel over in swells. It is also faster than a monohull, and its shallow draft allows it to come closer in to shore. This leads to ease of walking the decks, little of the dizziness sometimes associated with being on the water, and overall a more restful experience.
As both a power and sail catamaran, the New Star One can cruise at 10 knots under power, and the speed of the wind under sail. She carries a crew of three, and can accommodate a up to 12 people for a day cruise, or six overnight in her three well-appointed staterooms.
